OH HAPPY DAYS!!

Well with Clay Buccholz making the start tonight and Mike Lowell and Jed Lowrie ready come off the DL the Red Sox had to make some roster moves and after two and a half years the Juilo Lugo era is finally over! The Red Sox officially Designated Julio Lugo for assignment. That means that the Red Sox have 10 days to trade him or he will be eligible to be a free agent. I highly doubt anyone will want to give anything up for him so no doubt the Red Sox will get him free. If he does become a free agent, the Red Sox will still have to pay him the full price of his contact. Lugo is still owed $13.5 Million. It must be an ego buster to learn that the Red Sox would rather pay you to sit at home or play for another team than be on their team.

It's going to be so nice to not cringe any time some one hits a ball to the shortstop.
